Pufferfish, in Minecraft, is a small aquatic mob found primarily in lukewarm and warm ocean biomes. They are characterized by their distinctive, inflated appearance when threatened.

Naturally, Pufferfish are passive and swim idly. However, when approached by a player or hostile mob, they inflate into a larger, spikier form as a defense mechanism. This inflation inflicts poison and damage upon contact.

Pufferfish can be caught using a fishing rod or obtained by killing them. They serve primarily as a food source, although consuming a raw Pufferfish carries a high risk of food poisoning.

Beyond consumption, Pufferfish are a key ingredient in brewing potions. Specifically, they are used to create potions of Water Breathing, allowing players to survive underwater for extended periods. This makes them valuable for underwater exploration and construction.
